Cody Burgett Norfolk NE Obituary; Cause Of Death – Cody M. Burgett, Norfolk Catholic Elementary School Teacher, Dies at 24

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cody M. Burgett, a beloved teacher and community member, at the age of 24. Cody, who was a dedicated teacher at Norfolk Catholic Elementary School, passed away recently. His sudden death has left the community of Norfolk and Battle Creek grieving the loss of a compassionate and caring soul.

A funeral service for Cody will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. Father Pat McLaughlin will be presiding over the service, which will offer family, friends, and colleagues the opportunity to pay their respects and remember the remarkable life of this young educator.

Born and raised in Battle Creek, Cody had always been passionate about helping others, particularly children. He spent his days at Norfolk Catholic Elementary School, inspiring students with his enthusiasm, dedication, and kind nature. His ability to connect with children, encourage their growth, and support their education left an indelible mark on the school community. Codyโ€™s coworkers and students alike have spoken of his warm demeanor and unwavering commitment to his profession.
