David Stinson Lafayette LA Obituary, Death – It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of David Stinson, beloved friend and owner of Stinson Fencing. David, who touched the lives of so many, has left us far too soon, joining his dear friends Mark Bell and John “Juan” Willits in what can only be described as the “great Frisbee tournament in the sky.”
For those who knew Dave, it is impossible to understate the impact he had. David was not just a businessman; he was a beacon of kindness, generosity, and faith. In the 1980s, he lived in Daytona during the height of Spring Break, a time marked by youthful exuberance and wild energy. David, ever the social butterfly, sold Sun Solutions tanning oil on the pool decks, becoming a fixture of the town. His charm and warmth made him instantly likable—if you knew Dave, you loved Dave.
But beneath the fun-loving, outgoing exterior, there was a man of great faith. Every Wednesday night and Sunday morning, while others partied, David made it a point to attend services at the Basilica of St. Paul’s Church. His devotion to his faith was unwavering and deep, something that all who knew him could admire.
David Stinson’s passing is a heartbreaking loss. His loyal friendship, infectious smile, and kind soul will be sorely missed. But, as his friend reflects, “If you knew Dave, you loved Dave.” And now, as he joins his two dear friends in heaven, we can take solace in the thought that they are all together again, playing in a Frisbee tournament in the sky, where no sadness or pain can reach them.
David’s legacy will live on in the memories of those who knew him, especially the friends and family he held so dear. Rest in peace, Dave. You were loved more than words can express, and you will be missed by so many.
